About Me
I sign here under the name Little Frenchy. This pseudonym is not a mask — it is a deliberate choice to tell stories freely, without pretence, without a flag, without unnecessary exposure.
A hauteur d’Homme (at man’s height), it is more than a title — it is a promise of perspective. One that refrains from looking down, that prefers to listen before analysing, to meet before reporting.
Handing out supplies during a humanitarian run
Since 2024, I have undertaken several extended stays in Ukraine — initially in a humanitarian capacity, then as an independent observer. I have not followed a traditional journalistic path. My approach is self-taught, shaped by curiosity, regular writing, and the need to bear witness. Provoked by details that say more than speeches.
This site is an extension of my field experience, where writing becomes a tool for understanding and transmission. I document portraits as well as fragments of lives; raw, sometimes fragile, always sincere. These are stories collected in the tumult, sometimes noisy and explosive, often silent and insidious. Always at man’s hight, precisely where silences and gestures play out; modest stories worthy of being told.
Helping to carry boxes from an evacuated couple
Checking if our « little » friend will bite before evacuation – he didn’t
This site is a free space — neither media nor manifesto, simply a place for lived stories. If some texts resonate with you, then the essential is there: to circulate a bit of reality, unfiltered, in what we too often choose to ignore.
You will find stories from Ukraine, field notes, narrative texts… You are free to read, to feel, to forget, or to return.
At man’s height, between the lines — Little Frenchy
